Loree Stubblefield, MSW, LSW - Executive Director
Loree completed her undergrad in Social Work at The University of Akron and Masters in Social Work at Ohio State University. She started out working at a residential center for children, with individuals who have special needs and in Alcohol research. Loree spent many years working as a Medical Social Worker on most all specialty floors in a hospital setting and also made home visits to individuals with physical and mental health needs. Loree is a Social Work provider for the board of DD and has worked in private practice over the last four years utilizing equine assisted therapy. She has volunteered for the 4H equine program and Pony Club, is a Merit Badge Counselor for Boy Scouts of America and a Certified Riding Instructor for PATH, She is certified through EAGALA in Equestrian Assisted Psychotherapy and is currently working on her EAGALA Military Services designation in order to better serve this population. She has recently completed her Clinical hours of supervision to obtain her LISW.
Barbara Hunt Ph.D, LPCC, LSW
Dr. Hunt completed her Bachelors degree at Kent State University, Masters degree at the University of Akron and then went on to completed her Ph.D in Clinical Psychology. She started her career at Summit County Children Services as a worker in the protective unit and family preservation. She then was a Supervisor of five master-level clinicians in the therapeutic foster care unit, Supervisor of Visitation and Resource Manager. In 1992 she was part of the treatment team at a urologist office in Fairlawn, Ohio for transgender persons who were transitioning with HRT and gender reassignment surgery. She continues to provide counseling and testing for this population for the Stark County area. She has worked contractually as a counselor with Bellefaire, Crisis Center inpatient unit and the geriatric Psychiatric inpatient unit. She is a private practitioner who has a wide range of experience with psychological evaluations and neuropsychological testing for diverse populations and is currently providing counseling and testing at Stable Solutions Farm. Dr. Hunt is currently completing military tier 1 through 3 to better serve this population.
Heidi Katabi - Kekel LPCC-S, CDCA - Clinical Counselor
Heidi earned both her Bachelors and Masters Degrees from Malone University in Canton, Ohio. She then worked at Turning Point Counseling Services in Struthers. After working as an outpatient counselor she transferred to the Crisis Stabilization Unit serving a client population considered severely and persistently mentally ill. Although she enjoyed this position, as it provided invaluable experience, she eventually transferred to the Sebring location in order to work closer to home. Heidi took over a small private practice in Damascus and has been providing individual and family counseling sessions along with equine assisted psychotherapy at the farm. Heidi enjoys all aspects of counseling, and is currently expanding her knowledge of trauma and marriage counseling. She is also completing the star behavioral health training to expand her knowledge to work with military families.
Jenni Johnson - Communications and Volunteer Director
Jenny has completed her education in nursing and is currently raising her family while she manages our volunteer program at Stable Solutions. She assists with many administrative duties and visits the farm weekly with her children. Jenny helps with recruiting our volunteers and assists with the facebook page. She loves to spend time with her children, help with special needs groups and has a real interest in equine therapy and other alternative therapies. Dave Acker - Barn Manager
Dave can be reached at the farm most weekdays in the mornings and early afternoons here. He helps with training the adult volunteers, military stable time, maintains the farm and cares for all the animals here. He has retired as an engineer and loves spending time with the animals and assisting adults who can benefit from equine therapy. He has a real appreciation and love for nature, animals, and those who have served our country.
Rob Greer - Maintenance
Rob works full time in construction and still makes time to repair the many things that need fixed any time we call on him. He does beautiful wood work and is an excellent handy man. His daughter is in our 4h club, she can care for all the horses and assist with all barn duties. Rob loves the animals, car races, spending time with his daughter and giving back to our community with the assistance of equine therapy.
